The bathroom soap is about empty, the boys’ lips are chapped from playing in theΒ snow, and the anticipation of spring and the sun’s rays have me in the kitchen making home-made soaps, lotions, and balms!
We make almost everything because of my youngest son’s allergies.
He can’t have wheat (gluten), or ANY corn by-product!
Of course… I have a few helpers!
The two older kids watched videos with me and then helped make our concoctions… my son wasn’t interested at first – till he realized its kinda fun π
The first thing we made was a face cream.Β I followed the directions in the video and LOVE it! I normally just use coconut oil as a face lotion, but I’m excited to have the addedΒ essential oils in this lotion!

Then we made foaming hand soap for our pump at home.
We also made another batch and poured itΒ into some travel size plastic bottle to keep in the car and my purse.

I think it’s important to have children learn the art of making soaps and lotions.
I hope you enjoy making a few of these with your kiddos!
